What a padel coach does
A coach teaches technique, builds a plan around each player's level and keeps the group safe. Good coaches can explain the same movement in several ways until the student gets it.
What a course usually covers
- Technique: grips, volleys, bandeja, víbora, smash, serve and shots off the wall.
- Tactics: positioning as a pair, when to attack and when to defend.
- Teaching method: building progressions, running group classes, giving useful feedback.
- Physical preparation and injury prevention.
- Safety on court and club rules.
Who it suits
Players with some experience who want to teach, and club staff who want to formalise what they already do. Most courses expect a decent playing level, though you do not have to compete.
Before you sign up
Requirements and certificates depend on the country and its padel federation. Check with your national federation which qualification is recognised where you plan to work. Ask how many hours are practical and how many are theory, and whether there are supervised classes with real students.
